Okay, so today we're going to replace on this Jeep a throttle position sensor
0:07
We have an error code of 24 and 12, which is our throttle position sensor and our MAP sensor, low voltage
0:18
So we're going to start at the throttle position and then, because it's close to the engine
0:23
and then move our way out to the MAP sensor. So y'all stay tuned and we'll get this installed
0:29
And then I almost drove the Jeep through the house. Oh, that was just getting the codes
0:35
Watch that video. It's hilarious. Yes, that is our first video replacing the O2 sensor
0:45
So y'all can check that out. Okay, so we're removing the throttle position sensor and we're using the T20 star screw
1:21
on the impact. You got it on? There you go. There it goes
1:40
Oh, you got it. Oh, that's hot. When you're looking at this, you'll see you have a position sensor right here
1:52
So you have to make sure you slide it on with that position sensor
1:56
So we have a new one. Introduce new box. And this one's got a white turny dilly inside. It's fancy
2:10
So you're gonna put this one on? Yeah, yeah, I need to
2:16
So you have the throttle position sensor right there and you have your airflow sensor right here
2:26
I don't know how it's supposed to go in. Alright, Dad, you do it
2:30
Okay, hold on. Okay, so we got it on. The big st... The..
2:36
Got it the right direction and everything. Putting the bolts in. Oh, you look like you're hot
2:43
Is it hot standing over this very hot engine? No, just a little bit
2:47
A funny bit Ha ha Hopefully this is the problem Yeah we running out of sensors to replace
3:00
And then bolts are tightened. You can't see this one, but this is what he looks like for down
3:10
It's still turning. There, it's done turning
3:20
There you go. It's not going anywhere. Okay. Now you want to plug everything in? Yeah
3:28
Hopefully this is the problem. I'm right. This is... Plug right in
3:38
Yeah, put this vacuum hose back in here and you pull this one loose
3:44
Alright, it's plugged in. I got it. Put that one back in
3:50
So, he's got the throttle position sensor plugged in. So now it's ready to restart. Yes
3:57
And here is our map sensor. This is another problem we could have because our error codes are, what are they
4:05
They're 14 and 24. and so it's saying we have a voltage discrepancy between the throttle position sensor and the map sensor
4:15
Okay, so we pulled off the negative battery cable and we're gonna reset the error codes
4:22
and see what new error codes we have, if any. Hopefully it's all fixed
4:28
Is that tight enough? Is that on enough? Sure. Is that all the way on? No
4:34
Yeah, it's on. That's as far as it'll go
4:44
That's a nice juggernaut. Are you good? There you go. Okay
4:57
Does it move? Nope. Okay. Ready? Mmhmm
5:25
Sounds like it has a cam. What? It sounds like it has a cam
5:31
Is that a champ? Yeah. Oh. Ready
6:04
She's ready. Okay, so we got the throttle position sensor replaced. And our son, he did all the installation work, but it did not fix any issue
6:19
Hopefully this was very helpful for you and fixes your issue, because if you're getting
6:25
getting the error code 24 and 12 see our website link down below this may be your problem hopefully
6:36
yeah i'm on like you know nine problems now so kind of irritating now how you do this is falling
6:43
behind too because that's well we are replacing things that are old i mean this is 94 so most of
6:50
So that stuff is never going to be replaced. And it is making each time better
6:55
It is better. So we are getting improvements. Yeah, it's improvements. Especially from the last video where we did the exhaust manifold broken bolts
7:04
It just sounds so much better without a broken bolt on the exhaust manifold
7:09
No exhaust leaks. Anything but broken. You kind of need to fix it, right
7:14
Of course you do. We had a little pipe on inside of our house just thinking, I'm wondering
7:18
We need to fix that. Yeah, fix that too. But a leaking exhaust manifold can cause head issues like burnt valves and things like that
7:27
Which are bad. So you don't want that. Because it allows coir to work
7:34
You don't want that because it's expensive. It will allow coir to function to the cylinder and it could cause that valve to warp or prematurely wear
7:43
Maybe it's so my car. Yes. Jeff this Jeep has to keep going for another year before I don't have to give up my car anymore
7:55
and then it breaks down. Well actually future plans we're going to give them the car because we have other adventures
8:02
That's way later but we are doing other things like recipes go check out ChrisDoesWhat.com
8:12
or Diane with Danielle.com she has it on her shirt right here oh yeah Diane with Danielle
8:18
so y'all can go check out that and recipes released every week and awesome so actually
