Replacing our Skar SVR Sub With EVL Sub In Jeep Wrangler

We install a Skar Audio EVL 10 subwoofer in our Jeep replacing the SVR 10 that we blew the surround. The EVL 10-inch subwoofer is a little deeper and wider than the SVR 10 so make sure your box is deep enough if you do this. If your subwoofer box is not bolted down, it will wobble as ours did in the test. Our box is made to be locked in by the seat and the Jeep tailgate. this also keeps people from stealing it because the only way to remove it is by unlocking the tailgate.

Skar SVR VS EVR Subwofer

The EVL Subwoofer compared to the SVR has a cleaner deeper sound than the SVR subwoofer. Even though most of the specs of the subwoofers look the same on response minus the EVL having more excursion. The heavier magnet and the Made In America Coils of the EVL subwoofer seems to produce deeper, richer bass. The EVL sub is about double the cost of the SVR so if you are running lower watts you may want to go with the SVR. If your bass enthusiast you know what to do.

Upgrades To Jeep Needed Because Of Stereo System

We still have to make some changes to our jeep electrical system due to the total AMP power of 1,800 watts. Our system in this jeep is a combination of JL Audio and Skar Audio, will leave links below. On my preference, well I think both Skar Audio and JL Audio make good car audio. I do love the sound of JL, their equipment just seems to have a cleaner sound. But for raw power, Skar Audio is pretty good, their Monoblock D-Class AMPs and Subwoofers really seem to thump.
