We are undertaking DIY repair of our aft air conditioning unit on our sailboat. Preparing for an impending hurricane, which also necessitates renting a vehicle for supplies. Okay guys I'm back here in the back room and you know I had to replace the front AC pump because it was leaking

But the back AC pump I think got working so let's show you what I did

So the back AC pump is right here It's got a connection right here. So it's a good place to connect a water maker. That's a good deal for us

But this pump it was stopped turning so I took off all the connections on it

See one right there took off the connection and I just spun this pump around

Then I put it in fresh water and I ran it and it ran good

So maybe we salvaged this one. Okay, I got it installed. Right now I'm just running it to this cord

It plugs into the AC right there. Let's go see if it's pumping outside

Okay, well the pump is not pumping anything out. So now I'm going to take the end off right there, pull it up on the other side

I'm gonna run Barcluster through the AC. Okay, so I have this end unplugged right here and I can pull it through up there

It's got zip ties on it. I had to cut them zip ties off

You see them right there. Now, of course, I got a mess on the back of our boat

because I had to empty out the sugar scoop area because they had to crawl down there

If you go down in here, there's our AC. Yeah, pull that one pipe up, take that one, it's going out to the boat, and yeah, gear done

Now, of course, I'm going to use this kit. This was my tankless hot water heater kit, but I've been using it to run Barriclebuster through

Okay guys, so I have the pump in here. This is the hose that I pulled out of our back after cabin, going to the pump perd

got it ran the bucket. I have a line connected there with a connector and it's plugged into the out water somewhere

flow the miracle buster through this thing. So now I'm going to add our precious water to the bucket

Instead of running a power cord all the way back here, I have the generator back here. So I'm just going to crank this up

We're using nothing off our generator though. Okay, so we've been running Baracle Buster through the system for about an hour

I'm going to go ahead and shut it down and I'm going to flush the Baracle Buster out with some theme wire

Okay, now I have it plumbed out so I can run fresh water through here

Well, it looks like my drain going out of the boat is clogged or something, so I got to figure that out

I got water to flow through it. And up here, I cleaned the outside of the out

Now get me a little screwdriver, I'm gonna see if I can clean the inside, see if I can get waterflow

There looked to be like a dirt diver nest I put the screwdriver up in there So hopefully I got it broke up so it come the rest of the way out Okay we all connected up in there

So it is quite cramped in here. And there we go. We have water coming out

No way out of water. Okay, finally we're in our bedroom. And we're going to connect this pump back up

And this will plug in the top. Okay. Or I may clip it over like that. Okay, I opted to bring on its side

Now I'm going to power out and see if it runs. And now I'll plug it back into our AC plug right there

And I'm going to put the other hose clamp on it. And then we'll see if it comes on with the AC

And the AC cools. Okay, so we got everything plugged in and I got the other hose clamp on there

Now I'm going to just close this up. up and now we turn this on hopefully it works okay and the generator has picked up

can't already feel it cooling down Oh, that feels so good. And I'm also charging the battery at 7.5 amps with the AC on

And there it goes. So, mission successful. Only took a whole day

Okay, it's been running for a good bid now. Well, not a good bit, but it's been running for about 10 minutes

And getting really cool in here. It is, you can definitely tell it's running that the generator

Eventually I'm gonna try to wire this off the batteries, at least the rear one

The front one, this one's 9,000 VDU, the front one's 16,000. So this would use about maybe 900,000 watts

And with, we have, well, with our, battery pack is 10 kilowatts so with a full charge we can ride for a while but likely

It wasn't even on the news or anything. No. I saw it come in on windy, but windy didn't have any of the wind speeds right

No, we, that was pretty terrible again. Yeah. Well, the dog was running away from haircut because it's haircut time

And we use this vacuum groomer. And it works pretty good. Keeps the hair down

It's a little woman there doing dishes. But it keeps the hair down

And it's quiet enough where it won't really scare as much. She doesn't like it

But on me, I used to use one of these. And this makes a mess

And so I started using this. I just cleaned the attachment. Use it on my hair too
