Okay guys, so we're on anchor and we're gonna get some repairs done
0:06
Got our solar ordered that you may have saw, flew off. But, and been many repairs, but we still have some little odds and ends we need to fix here in the boat
0:20
So I'm gonna first start working out on the toilet. Okay, one of the most annoying things if you live in an RV or really if you live on a boat is
0:29
you live on a boat is the sound of your water pump going off all the time, just spurts every
0:37
few seconds or minutes or however long it is, but you're losing water and we have that very
0:46
problem. You heard that. So we're going to go through and fix this. So if you see here on our
0:52
toilet, get some water down here, I think there's some o-rings in there that need to be replaced
0:59
I'm hoping and that will fix this issue. It's got a this looks like a bolt on the bottom that you can pull out and hopefully the whole assembly comes out
1:09
Okay, so I took this out. I took that out. There's a spring in the bottom of it, but there's no rebuilding this thing. It just won't come out. So if I'd be slick and replace O reins, but that's not happening. So I worked my online. They're about $12 up at the end. Okay
1:29
We just figured out that dried beans don't last forever. Okay, so when we were in our house
1:44
well, two years, three years ago, I started buying a lot of dried beans for, you know, just whatever
1:56
And we still have a lot of them on board three years later
2:02
The thing is, is that they don't like to cook. Add them in a slow cooker for about four hours
2:11
Not cooking. So we had to bring them to the stove top
2:19
Because I have a lot of slow cooker beans and recipes out there. but
2:24
and they do do exactly what I said on my recipe if you have
2:30
fresh beans and these weren't even expired no they're not expired but they're just
2:35
they're just been sitting around and it may possibly be due because they're
2:42
been on our boat we have a lot of humidity in here sometimes
2:46
and maybe that's done it I don't know they're still good they're not molded
2:54
they're just really hard to cook so I'm doing it on the
3:01
stove top and they're soft now so I'm putting all the seasonings in
3:06
what recipe are you making I'm making my slow cooker meatless black beans
3:12
the chili it's a chili but it's no meat it's yummy though
3:18
yeah it's yummy you'll go to our website and you'll check that out
3:22
It's a good recipe. Yeah. But I usually do it in the slow cooker. But use fresh beans
3:32
I mean, if you're going to do it with older dry beans, which they're still good
3:40
just know your slow cooker is probably not going to cook them
3:46
You're going to have to do it on the stoke top. You're going to have to kind of like get them parable
3:52
If you parboil them maybe on the soap top and then put them in the soap up there, you'll be fine
3:58
But it's, they're definitely, uh, old. I'm guessing that's, they're old. And she's putting in her whole
4:12
I'm just going to do this. Oh, that one's not going in. Oh
4:20
Oh, man. It's way under there. I'll have to vacuum that out tomorrow, baby
4:35
I'll just been small like garlic now. They're underneath there. Okay, I can find them
4:42
Babes out here making our deck look great again. I don't know how it gets like this
4:49
I mean I have this spot I was just I just scrolling again Yeah it probably because of me
4:59
That's what, the unclean, you just go to clean that. I'm gonna start to squirt this
5:09
It doesn't help when my shoulders add a whack. Babes up there clean with a brush now
5:27
Does that make it a lot easier, babe? Yeah. Okay, my wife has finished cleaning
5:35
Not the cushions, don't look at the cushions, but the floor is white
5:39
and that sugar scoop is white, looks a lot better. So we're doing our repairs
5:46
I've got, I already got me. got a macerator in for a spare and I'm going to pick up some toilet pieces because
5:57
so I picked up our part for our vacuum toilet let's go get it in it's uh yeah these vacuum
6:04
toilets are interesting beasts because I haven't had any poop explosions but you do get the
6:11
water leaks and vacuum leaks all the time which is a interesting beast in itself
6:17
Back here at the boat we still have the hole in the Bimni. I do have a whole roll of material so you can get that fixed and
6:28
calling somebody we're going to actually get the new solar arch I believe we're going to have it welded so it will be one complete frame and then it will bolt to the boat
6:40
Of course it's going to be aluminum so just similar metals hopefully it doesn't crowed itself together
6:47
A little bit up with some silicone grease. So my wife is making us a little breakfast over here
6:53
I'm gonna go get the toilet fixed. She likes the front head all to herself
6:59
Oh, you don't like that about your room? No, it's too narrow
7:07
But, oh, and also, the helm, I already got a little dirty and she cleaned it yesterday
7:15
So making a rear head, we have the controls or the valve down here
7:23
That's why I'm replacing. And it's just two screws on the side and the hose is coming in
7:32
So I have to use a ratchet on these. The ones that came with the replacement part have Phillips head
7:42
I don't even think I can use them. I might use these. go back in here
7:47
So I've got the old valve off right there, and this is the new one. And they look to be the same size
7:56
So that's a good thing. And there's our empty spot. I'm just going to plug these back in
8:03
Okay. That is all installed, not leaking anymore. Yeah, I've got to clean it
8:09
But now I can pull up on the handle. You can use your foot to do this
8:13
you know, fill up the wire, it wasn't doing that before. And looking flush
8:22
So, good deal. That's all done. So I've changed the bathroom valves, both the bowel toilet and the aft toilet
8:33
And we're still getting that issue. So I know that I installed in your sink faucet
8:39
I checked all the plumbing on that. but no clue where this is coming from
8:46
So I found the problem. It was out here. I had to tighten this up, and it was just leaking water down
8:53
I don't know if you can see that trail. It was just leaking water down
8:56
And this is where I plug in the water if I'm on a dock, which right now I'm using my tanks
9:05
Because right now it's pretty chilly, and if you live on a boat
9:11
But when it's hot, which it was hot, that water come out of the hose will give you about maybe a minute or two of scalding water, which isn't fun
9:25
Okay, so my babe has been listening to this pump issue for how long
9:32
About a month. A couple months because it was doing it when our friends were here too
9:38
Yeah, so I've been fighting this issue. finally found it and uh
9:42
wear a relief because that is the most nerve sound you will hear is your fresh wire going away Well kind of boat rocking
9:54
Especially when you don't, you're like, is there a leak in hoses underneath the floor or something
10:01
You know, but we didn't find any water, so. Dude, I've been tearing up this boat trying to find that, you know
10:07
And I found every little, even if it's got moisture on it, I was working out
10:13
So, but we're good now, and hopefully the system is there than it was before
10:20
Hopefully. Until next time. Okay, but guys, we're making a simple recipe tonight, and it's not..
10:33
It's meatless. Meatless pasta with black beans, out of a can, and corn, and some sauteed up. onions
10:46
I gotta do what you gotta do. But I have seasonings, but seasoning is
10:50
Yeah. But this is life after a hurricane
11:01
Now we have a lot of meat, but we're trying to last until the first of the month
11:10
We're budget people here. So I can't go to the grocery yet
11:18
Enjoy's the volume on boat. Now we gotta clean up the villages and the shower sombs
11:23
So I've already started here. I got that shower soap clean. I've got the barnacles on this depth sounder and for a whole arm boat
11:31
Okay, got that all cleaned up. Now I'm just going to swap it out. I'm not going to do this on camera because you have to be quick
11:38
That right there looks a lot cleaner. So it's a build, it's not going to be perfectly clean unless I just paint it
11:48
But yeah. You know, I have the rear stuff to clean out
11:53
This is for our rear AC, our shower. Yeah. And the front one's for our front shower and the Friday Sea
12:03
And you just look at how yummy that looks before I get started. Yeah
12:09
That's green. Now on these soaps, you have to vacuum them out before you spray them down the water and let the bilge pump work because
12:20
whereas you get hair and stuff like that and that will probably destroy the bilge pump
12:41
A lot better. My vacuum's kind of getting full, but let's see if I can finish this out
12:57
Okay, that village is cleaned, and now we have to clean out the main village
13:01
See, I shower out. I might do some fiberglass repair someday on that, but yeah, it'll work for now
13:08
So now we have our final villages to clean out. clean out. This is where all the water goes sprayed in up front. So get this cleaned out and dry and make sure our bills stay dry. This is how you keep a safe boat. You don't want to sink
13:23
Okay guys, so we just got our solar in and David here, he hurried him over here and he actually helped me get him on the boat, which is awesome
13:35
Oh yeah. And you want to tell us a little bit by your company? Yeah, so I work with Granik solar
13:40
We are a global solar distributor. We're in all the countries. We have poor locations here in the U.S
13:50
And, you know, we got what you need. Let us know. Yeah, so I'll leave their contact information down below
13:58
And hopefully, if you want, you can reach out and get you some solar
14:03
These are the Atos 440 bifacial solar panels. So we're about to get them installed
14:13
Okay, so all y'all followers from when we were DIYers house bearing people, we were always doing stereos and jeeps and cars for our kids
14:27
I like base. But, so here in the boat, we decided to put a little base in here
14:35
It just stuff I had left over from those days And let me show you So behind our power panel here this amp is actually almost 10 years old It a boss 1 watt Of course it doesn make
14:50
1500 watts. It's got a 20 amp fuse, but it's behind our panel here and then a
14:57
guy plugged in the radio right there and the cord runs or the speaker
15:02
wire runs right through there under this floor. And then I have a speaker right here
15:11
It's just a little JL8. And yeah, it's tucked in nicely. Okay, so the base on this is working pretty good
15:22
I was kind of annoying my wife out there because I was playing music and she's like..
15:28
Well, we're in a marina. Yeah. I don't know, wow. Yeah, so..
15:32
But the base is pretty decent. Let's see if this has any base
15:37
free so yeah you just kind of a roll deep thunder out but you know not extremely loud but
15:56
it's good enough for now okay my baby's gotta get out the boat it's been a week
16:05
and we're at a marina. We're working on building that solar array
16:10
Did we get a good? I have a card. And, uh, and we're going to hit a hamburger joint
16:19
Yep. So, packed mules carrying groceries back. We've got some groceries and, uh
16:28
has some smashed burgers. Oh, yeah. We've actually been up here a couple times in
16:35
We've never tried them because they closed early. And yeah, it was good
16:43
So another place, walking distance within the marina. Yeah. And, of course, save a lot
16:52
But now back to the boat. Okay, baby's making brisket and a crockpot with Chiply rub on it
17:03
Oh, it smells so good. yeah I was gonna try it in the oven
17:08
but that would be a long time cooking then I was like
17:12
I don't have a deep enough pan and grease will be spilling everywhere
17:18
I'm not doing that so our slow cooker revived itself it was broken no
17:26
that was the beans yeah we think it was our beans they're too old
17:30
but yeah it's cooked roast it's fine so I guess I'm going to have to
17:36
Get some more fresh beans Look at that guys Oh my gosh
17:40
This is just half of it Oh yeah The other half is in here And we're going to make that tomorrow Mm-hmm
17:46
Some other way Gonna be yummy Okay guys So we are almost in real time But
17:53
My wife's getting some breakfast here done You saw earlier in the video
17:58
Where she was doing the Resket Yeah We're that close to real time
18:03
But we plan on getting the, hopefully next week we'll be getting the solar installed because we don't like a marina life
18:15
For one, it's too expensive. And a great marina, but it's expensive
18:19
And two, the waves and the wind never come from the front of the boat
18:25
So you don't get a lot of blockage there. It's just all over you. So hopefully we get out here soon
18:33
If you like this video, go ahead and like it. It's down there
18:37
It looks like this. If you like our channel, subscribe. Check out this girl's great recipes
18:42
She's cooking all the time. Yeah. I got to put another recipe out
18:47
It'll probably be in this marina. We put a recipe out. When it stops rocking so much, it's really hard to, you know, do a recipe when I'm doing this
18:58
But I like your dance when it's rocking. But, With that, y'all, y'all please take care
