This Pasta is one of our Favorites with Taco Meat and Cheese and we like to put Vegetables in our Pasta! Prep Time: 15 Minutes
Oven Temperature for Roasting Ground Turkey and Broccoli: 400 Degrees Fahrenheit
Roasting Time: 30 – 40 Minutes
Oven Temperature for Casserole: 350 Degrees Fahrenheit
Baking Time: 20 Minutes
Serves 4 – 6
Cheesy Taco Turkey Broccoli Pasta Ingredients:
16 Ounces Penne Pasta
1 Pound Ground Turkey
4 Cups Broccoli (Frozen or Fresh)
4 Tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
4 Tablespoons Balsamic Vinegar
3 Tablespoons Fresh Minced Garlic (About 3 Cloves)
3 Teaspoons Ground Cumin
1 Teaspoon Chili Powder
2 Teaspoons Salt
1/2 Teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
1/2 Cup Yogurt
1 Cup Cheddar Cheese Shredded
Cheesy Taco Turkey Broccoli Pasta Instructions:
1. First you will need an Oven safe Pan, then add Ground Turkey, 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil, 2 Tablespoons Balsamic Vinegar, 2 Tablespoons Fresh Minced Garlic, Ground Cumin, Chili Powder, Salt and Black Pepper. Then Mix up all the Ingredients in the Pan. Set Aside until Next Step.
TIP: We like to Cook the Ground Turkey in the Oven for Convenience, You Can Cook this up on the Stove Top if You Want!
2. Next you will need a Casserole Pan, add the Broccoli, 2 Tablespoons of Olive Oil, 2 Tablespoons Balsamic Vinegar and 1 Tablespoon of Fresh Minced Garlic. Mix all the Ingredients together.
TIP: We use the same Casserole Pan that the Cheesy Taco Turkey Broccoli Pasta will Bake in Later!
3. PreHeat the Oven at 400 Degrees F. Now put the Pan of Ground Turkey and the Pan of Broccoli in the Oven and Roast for 30 – 40 Minutes. The Ground Turkey might need more Roasting time than the Broccoli.
At the same time, Cook the Penne Pasta on the Stove Top in some water with a little Salt and Olive Oil until the Pasta is Al Dente, Not Mushy. About 20 Minutes.
4. When everything is done, Make sure to Drain the Pasta and then put the Pasta back in the Pan, add the Cooked Taco Ground Turkey, Roasted Broccoli and 1/2 Cup of Yogurt.
5. Now mix up all the Ingredients in the Pan, try not to Break the Pasta too Much. Then Put all the Pasta Ingredients in the Casserole Pan that you used for Roasting the Broccoli in. Spread the Pasta Mixture evenly and then Sprinkle 1 Cup of Cheddar Cheese on top.
6. PreHeat Oven at 350 Degrees F. Bake the Cheesy Taco Turkey Pasta for 20 Minutes. When the Pasta Bake is done, Take out of the Oven and Let cool for a Minute before Serving.
