We just got our Bayliner Bowrider 175 back with a freshly rebuilt Mercruiser 3.0. We are now taking inventory of what is needed to get the engine started like restoring the wiring harness, getting everything buttoned up on the engine like the distributor, timing, and the missing hardware.

Rebuilt Mercruiser 3.0 Engine - Chris Does What

We sent this engine to a mechanic to get installed in our boat because we didn’t have a method to remove it. In hindsight we should have not outsourced this piece of the project, the mechanic took a lot of time and lost a lot of engine accessories. This is going to blow the budget our for this boat restore because we paid the mechanic and what we have to buy new on the boat.
