Raccoon Creek Recreation Area
Raccoon Creek offers well-maintained bathrooms, clean beaches, and a nice restaurant to eat inside or out, with a view of the ocean. The RV park does offer wifi, don’t expect blazing speed and you may need a wifi range to get signal. If you plan to kick here for a while, they do have a mailbox you can rent.
There are 3 types of camping styles offered, dry camping, partial, and full hookup depending on your needs. If you are just looking for a piece of dirt to lay your head, or you are a boondocker RVer, this may be perfect for you. If you desire more, power up with full hookup and have all the luxuries of home away from home.
Our son stayed at this RV park for 6 months on MacDill Airbase and loved it. He is in the Air Force Reserves and loved how convenient it was to park his Travel Trailer while on TDY orders. The park is pretty quiet with a lot of room between RV pads and older occupants just looking to relax so you’ll get a good night sleep.

Boat Enthusiast
If water is your thing, Raccoon Creek RV park is for you! With the ocean on 3 sides and a marine with a well-maintained boat ramp, you’ll be in heaven. Whether you have a boat or rent a kayak from the marina, there will be plenty of water to explore. Then once the day is through from your long day of boating, the marina has a place to water down your water ride, getting all that corrosive salt water off your boat.

Beach and Eats
If you just want to relax on the beach, visit with family and friend, Raccoon Creek RV park has you covered. You can bring a picnic for a day on the beach, fire up the barbie and relax under one of many shelters. Then wet your feet on the white sand beaches enjoying the cool ocean breeze.
If you are looking to be served, there is an on beach restaurant for your dining needs. It offers both inside and outside locations to enjoy.

Our 2 Cents
While this is a beautiful place to stay, don’t plan to be a permanent resident. During the winter “Snow Bird Season” you have to pay for your site every two weeks, also you may have to move locations during your stay. For the summer you can pay every month but still may have to hook up and move. The max time you can stay at Raccoon Creek is 6 months than you have to leave for a month. If you want to reserve a spot, the list is a year long, so for all you spontaneous people this is a big downer.
