Cheesy Oven Baked Potatoes are Marinated with lots of Butter and Fresh Garlic, then Smothered with Cheese and Oven Baked!

There are so many ways to make Potatoes and this one has become one of our Favorite, Easy Side dish Potatoes! These have lots of Butter and Fresh garlic soaked in to the Potatoes then topped with Cheddar Cheese. We Bake these in the Oven and can even be served as an Appetizer! So Simple But So Delicious! Prep Time: 15 Minutes
Oven Temperature: 375 Degrees Fahrenheit
Baking Time: 20 Minutes
Oven baked potatoes - Dining in with Danielle

Cheesy Oven Baked Potatoes Ingredients:

5 Medium Potatoes
2 Tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1/2 – 3/4 Cups Melted Butter
2 Tablespoons Fresh Mince Garlic (about 2 cloves)
1 Teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
1 1/2 – 2 Cups Cheddar Cheese

Cheesy Oven Baked Potatoes Instructions:

1. First, you will need to cook the Potatoes. We do this in the Microwave but you can also bake the potatoes in the Oven before ingredients are added. After the Potatoes are cooked, Cut them in Half and put them in a Casserole Pan with Extra Virgin Olive Oil on the Bottom of Pan. Take a Fork and stab some holes in the Cooked Potatoes (this helps the ingredients to soak through the Potatoes).

2. Next, in a Bowl, Add Melted Butter and Fresh Minced Garlic. Then Brush the Butter Mixture on top of each Potato. The Butter will soak in to the Meat of the Potato. You want these to be really Buttery, that’s what makes these so Delicious. There will be some Butter dripping to the Bottom of the Pan.

3. Now, Sprinkle each Potato with Ground Black Pepper and Cheddar Cheese. Some of the Cheese will fall to the Pan, the Butter will keep it from sticking to the pan.

4. PreHeat Oven at 375 Degrees F. Bake for 20 Minutes or until the Cheese is Melted and a Little brown on top. The Cheese on the bottom of the pan turns into Crispy Cheese, One of our Favorite Parts of these Potatoes.
