Mom Goes Trailing With Son, Kinda Scare

We have done a lot of DIYs on this Jeep Wrangler, but our son is usually the only one in it. So we all jump in to hit the trails, which may have been a little much for mom. The wild stuff in this video is more at the end, our son wanted to start mom out a little slow.

Jeep Trail Mods

Now this jeep is outfitted with some modest trailing gear, of the links for the mods are in the playlist below. What probably helps this jeep out the most on the trail was changing the gears to 4.88. Then the 4-inch suspension lift coupled with the 1-inch body lift gives the clearance we need to run 33-inch tires, would not want to go much bigger on these axles.

Tailing Illumination And Tunes

To make trailing easier, have a curved LED light bar with LED sidelights that seem to turn night into day. Upfront LED fog lights in a Barricade rock slider bumper to add a little more light down low. To add to the trailing enjoyment this Jeep has 1,800 watts of sound with enough highs to fill a valley and lows that will make your eardrums itch.

Staying Safe On The Trail

For safety and recovery, we have the lights, but that just ain’t enough. In the rough nestled in that Barricade bumper is a 9,000 lb winch with tow hooks. In the back, there is another Barricade bumper with the tow hooks. Then you always have to carry a tow strap, jack, some tools, and your brain to be safe on the trail.
