Roasted Turkey Bacon Collard Greens are Marinated in a Delicious Balsamic Garlic Marinade, then Smothered with Bacon and Roasted in the Oven! No Boiling or Soggy Greens!
We love Collard Greens but are not fans of Boiled Greens or any other Boiled Vegetables. The Marinade with Balsamic gives a slight sweet Taste and then the Turkey Bacon gives the Salty taste. When you Roast Collard Greens in the Oven, they come out with a slight crunch and not Mushy! If you prefer Pork Bacon, throw that on there but remember there will be a lot of Grease! Prep Time: 10 Minutes
Oven Temperature: 350 Degrees Fahrenheit
Oven Roasting Time: 30 Minutes
Serves 6
Roasted Turkey Bacon Collard Greens Ingredients:
16 Ounces Chopped Collard Greens
4 Tablespoons Fresh Minced Garlic (about 4 Cloves)
3 Tablespoons Balsamic Vinegar
4 Tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 Teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
1/2 Pack Turkey Bacon Sliced
Salt Optional
TIP: If you use Pork Bacon, The Collard Greens will have more Grease!
Roasted Turkey Bacon Collard Greens Instructions:
1. First, you will need a Baking Sheet. Add the Chopped Collard Greens to the Pan. Next, add Fresh Minced Garlic, Balsamic Vinegar, Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Ground Black Pepper.
2. Now, Mix up all the Collard Greens and Marinade together. We just toss the Greens with our Hands. Make sure all the Collard Greens are Coated with the Balsamic Marinade.
3. Next, Take Half the Turkey Bacon and Slice in to Small Strips. Sprinkle the Bacon on top of the Marinated Collard Greens.
TIP: If you want, you can add the entire package of Turkey Bacon. We just like the Bacon to be a Garnish and add Flavor.
4. PreHeat Oven at 350 Degrees F. Roast the Turkey Bacon Collard Greens for 30 Minutes. After the Collard Greens are done, Mix them up in the Pan. At this time, you can add Salt, we don’t think these need them.
