We kick off our adventure in Fort Pierce, a charming little town. After stocking up on groceries, we’re ready to set sail. Initially, we grapple with the tide, wishing we had left a bit earlier. The air is crisp, and at just 60°F, it feels cold compared to what we’re used to. However, the thrill of being on the water drives us forward.

As we maneuver through the canal, we notice the water’s turbulence. Hand steering the boat, I feel the current trying to pull us in different directions. It’s a true test of our sailing skills as we maintain our course. The excitement builds as we approach the open Atlantic, a milestone for us.
