Prep Time: 20 Minutes
Oven Temperature: 400 Degrees Fahrenheit
Oven Baking Time: 45 Minutes
Baking Sheet with Parchment Paper
Serves: 4
Taco Oven Baked Round Fries Ingredients:
6 Potatoes (Any Potato will work with this recipe, we used Red Potatoes!)
1/4 Cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 Teaspoon Ground Cumin
1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder (We usually use Fresh Minced Garlic in our Recipes But Powdered Garlic works better on Fries!)
1/2 Teaspoon Chili Powder
1 Teaspoon Salt
1/2 Teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
Taco Oven Baked Round Fries Instructions:
1. First thing to do, is Cook the Potatoes whole. This can be done in the Oven or the Microwave. Cook them until Done but NOT over cooked! When the potatoes are done, set aside to cool down!
2. PreHeat Oven at 400 Degrees F! Now you will need a Baking Sheet with Parchment Paper, Spread some Olive oil around on the Parchment paper. (If you have a non-stick Baking Sheet, you probably won’t need Parchment Paper!)
3. Next is to Slice the Potatoes in Half, then slice those halves again to make Round Potatoes. Place them on the Baking Sheet making sure to get some the Olive oil on the bottom of the Potatoes. See Photo Below for reference!
4. Next is to prepare the Taco Seasoning Marinade! In a bowl, add Olive Oil, Ground Cumin, Garlic Powder and Chili Powder. Mix up!
5. Brush the Taco Marinade over every Potato round making sure to coat them really well! Sprinkle with Salt and Black Pepper! Only put the marinade on top, then let the Potato rounds sit for about 10 Minutes to soak.
6. Now put the Taco Round Fries in the preheated 400 Degree F oven for 20 Minutes. Then flip them over! (In this photo, we flipped over half of them to show you the baking.)
7. After flipping over, put the Taco Fries back in the oven for 20 – 25 more minutes! Take out when done, let cool a minute!
(The potatoes might look done after first bake, but Fries should be really crispy, the second bake is essential!)
