Roasted Garlic Balsamic Cabbage Steaks are thick cut Cabbage slices and then Marinated with Balsamic Vinegar and Garlic and Roasted in the Oven!

Prep Time: 15 Minutes
Marinating Time: 20 Minutes
Oven Temperature: 400 Degrees Fahrenheit
Roasting Time: 40 – 45 Minutes

Roasted Garlic Balsamic Cabbage Steaks Ingredients:

1 Head of Cabbage
3 Tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
2 Tablespoons Balsamic Vinegar
2 Tablespoons Fresh Minced Garlic (about 2 Cloves)
1 Teaspoons Salt
1 Teaspoon Ground Black Pepper

Roasted Garlic Balsamic Cabbage Steaks Instructions:

1. First, you need to prepare the Cabbage. Take the Outer Layer Leaves off, then cut the end off the Cabbage Head off. Cut the Cabbage Head in to Thick Slices and Put them on a Nonstick Baking Sheet (or use a Baking Sheet with Parchment Paper). 

TIP: If you have a Large Cabbage Head, you will need to cut it in Half, then Cut thick slices like we did.

2. Now, in a Bowl, Add Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Balsamic Vinegar, Fresh Minced Garlic, Salt and Ground Black Pepper. Mix up the Marinade really well. With a Pastry Brush, Start Brushing the Marinade on top of all the Cabbage Steaks. Let Sit a Marinate for at Least 20 Minutes.

3. PreHeat the Oven at 400 Degrees F. Roast the Marinated Cabbage Steaks for 40 – 45 Minutes or until you can Peirce the Steaks with a Fork. Take out of Oven and Serve!

TIP: If you are cutting the Cabbage Steaks thinner, Adjust the Roasting Time accordingly!

      1. At the end of the video, you are brushing something on the cooked cabbage steaks. Is it more of a samekh? Melted butter? I don’t see it mentioned in the recipe. These are in the oven cooking right now and I’m very excited to try them. Thank you!

  1. Great recipe. I added some pepper flakes just because I like a little heat but a flavorful recipe with or without the red pepper.

  2. I don’t have the dark balsamic vinegar. But have White Balsamic Reduction Coconut. It’s thick I says I can use it on everything. Tastes pretty good.
    Would you use it?
