Slow Cooker Cabbage Split Pea Soup Ingredients:

16 Ounces Dry Green Split Peas
6 Cups Water
5 Teaspoons Chicken or Vegetable Better Than Bouillon
5 Tablespoons Fresh Minced Garlic (about 5 Cloves)
1 Teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
6 Cups Chopped Cabbage

TIP: If you are using Boxed or Canned Broth, Add 6 cups and do not add the water or the Better Than Bouillon!

Slow Cooker Cabbage Split Pea Soup Instructions:

1. In the Slow Cooker or Crockpot, Add Dry Green Split Peas, Chicken or Vegetable Bouillon, Fresh Minced Garlic and Ground Black Pepper.

2. Next, Stir All the Ingredients Together and Put the Lid On. Turn the Temperature on High and Slow Cook for 3 Hours. Now, it is time to add the Cabbage. Cut up 6 Cups of Cabbage and add to the Split Pea Soup, Stir the Ingredients.

3. Now, Put the Lid Back On and Slow Cook on High for 1 – 2 More Hours until the Cabbage is done and the Split Peas are Creamy.
