Slow Cooker Garbanzo Bean Dip is a Cheesy Hot Dip that slightly resembles Hummus! The Garbanzo Beans make a Delicious Dip for Chips, Pita Chips and Crackers!
Slow Cooker Garbanzo Bean Dip is a Delicious Dip to whip up for Parties and Get Togethers! Garbanzo Beans are often found in Hummus with the ingredient Tahini to get that Hummus Sesame Flavor. Our Dip does not have Tahini because it is more like a Cheesy Bean Dip Flavored with Garlic, Cumin and other seasonings served Mostly Hot with Chips, Pita Chips and Crackers! We keep this Garbanzo Dip Chunky but can be easily Pureed for a Creamier Consistency! For More Sauces and Dip Recipes, Click Here!

Prep Time: 15 Minutes
Slow Cooker Temperature: High
Slow Cooker Cooking Time: 6 Hours

Slow Cooker Garbanzo Bean Dip Ingredients:
16 Ounces Dry Garbanzo Beans Soaked
6 Cups Water
3 Tablespoons Fresh Minced Garlic
2 Tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
2 Teaspoons Ground Cumin
1/2 Teaspoon Chili Powder
2 Teaspoons Salt
1 Teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
2 Cups Cheddar Cheese Shredded
Slow Cooker Garbanzo Bean Dip Instructions:
1. First, you will need to Soak the Garbanzo Beans Overnight or at least for a Few Hours. Then Drain the Beans and put them in the Slow Cooker with 6 Cups of Water. Turn the Slow Cooker on High and Cook for 4 Hours.
2. Next, you will need to Drain the Garbanzo Beans, reserving about 1/2 Cup of the Bean Juice. Add the Reserved Juice back in to the Slow Cooker with the Beans. Now add, Fresh Minced Garlic, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Ground Cumin, Chili Powder, Salt and Black Pepper.
3. Now, You will need to mash all the Garbanzo Beans and Ingredients Together. We like it Chunky, so we use a Hand Masher. If you want the Dip to be creamier, then blend this up in a Food Processor.
4. Finally, Sprinkle the Shredded Cheddar Cheese on top of the Garbanzo Dip. Then Slow Cook for 1 More Hour on High. Serve Hot with Chips and Crackers. This Dip even Tastes good when Cold, like Hummus!
