Slow Cooker Sweet Potato Split Pea Soup is a Delicious Slow Cooked Pea Soup Flavored with Garlic, Chicken Bouillon, Black Pepper and Chunks of Sweet Potatoes!

Slow Cooker Sweet Potato Split Pea Soup Ingredients: 

10 Ounces Dry Green Split Peas
6 Cups Water
5 Teaspoons Chicken or Vegetable Bouillon (We use Better Than Bouillon)
5 Tablespoons Fresh Minced Garlic (about 5 cloves)
1 Teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
2 Sweet Potatoes 

Slow Cooker Sweet Potato Split Pea Soup Instructions:

1. First, You will need your Slow Cooker or Crockpot. Then Add, Dry Green Split Peas, Water, Better Than Bouillon, Fresh Minced Garlic and Ground Black Pepper in to the Slow Cooker. Do Not Add Sweet Potatoes Yet!

TIP: If you are using Canned or Box Bouillon or Stock, Replace all water with 6 cups and do not put in Better Than Bouillon!

2. Now Slow Cook for 3 Hours. After 3 Hours, the Split Peas will be almost cooked but they will still be Chunky and Liquid will be watery. This is when you put in the Sweet Potatoes. Cut the Sweet Potatoes in 1/2 Inch Chunks and Add to the Split Pea Soup.

3. Slow Cook for another 2 Hours. The Split Pea Soup will be Creamy and the Sweet Potatoes will be soft but still hold there shape.
