Creamy Lemon Garlic Sauce for Fish is Full of Lemon, Garlic, Sweet Pickles and creamy Sour cream! Delicious Sauce for Fish dishes!
This creamy sauce is perfect for any fish dish even Fish Tacos! In our home, we make our own sauces because they are delicious and budget friendly. This sauce came about because we love Tarter Sauce but wanted a healthier homemade taste that is fresh! This creamy sauce has all the flavor you will need to smother any fish meal you are preparing, don’t forget about Fish Tacos, Yummy!
Prep Time: 10 Minutes
Refrigeration Time: 1 Hour
Creamy Lemon Garlic Sauce For Fish Ingredients:
1 Cup Sour Cream
2 Tablespoons Fresh Minced Garlic
2 Tablespoons Lemon Juice
2-3 Sweet Gherkin Pickles chopped This is Optional (you can use sweet relish but it will add liquid to the sauce)
1-2 Tablespoons Fresh Dill Weed (dried Dill Weed would work but try to use fresh ingredients, the taste is so much better)
1 Teaspoon Salt
1 Teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
Creamy Lemon Garlic Sauce For Fish Instructions:
1. First, In a Bowl, Add Sour Cream, Fresh Minced Garlic, Lemon Juice, Sweet Gherkin Pickles, Salt and Black Pepper.
2. Take all the ingredients and mix it up in the Bowl, then put the Lid on, put it in the fridge for at least an Hour (this will help flavors of the ingredients to really marinade in to the sauce)! I would only recommend keeping this sauce for no more than 3 days in the refrigerator because it is a dairy product.
Favorite Fish Sauce Alteration:
Add the ingredients above together but eliminate the sweet Gherkin Pickles, add 1 Tablespoon more of Lemon or Lime juice (you can use water if you don’t want more citrus taste). We use this thinned out creamy Sauce on Fish Tacos, it soaks in to the fish and creates a fresh lemon, garlic deliciousness!
We also have some great Delicious Sour Cream Garlic Sauce for other favorite dishes like our Family Favorite Tacos and one for Hamburgers!
